The Atlantic Hotel’s Adam Braithwaite to take part in DEVour Food Week at The Devonshire Arms

Adam Braithwaite, sous chef at The Atlantic Hotel, is to feature as a guest chef in the first DEVour Food Week at The Devonshire Arms, North Yorkshire. Adam will join Head Chef Paul Leonard and Ian Swainson from The Pass at South Lodge for ‘An Evening with Paul Leonard & Friends’ on Saturday 10th November 2018.

DEVour is a food festival designed to showcase the culinary talents of some of Britain’s finest chefs. Saturday night promises to be the highlight of the week, with Paul joined by Adam and Ian to create a specially crafted six course tasting menu. Diners will indulge in some stunning dishes which will include succulent hand-dived scallop, smoked wood pigeon and flavoursome suckling pig. Guests will be welcomed with a drink and handcrafted canapes before sitting down to enjoy the unique menu with an optional accompanying wine flight.

Adam joined The Atlantic Hotel as Sous Chef in October 2017, bringing his extensive Michelin-starred restaurant experience to Jersey. Inspired to work in the kitchen at a young age, Adam began his career at La Becasse, Ludlow, where he first teamed up with Ocean Restaurant’s executive chef, Will Holland. Adam then moved to The Samling Hotel in Windermere as a chef de partie before becoming acting head chef. Adam is familiar with small islands, having previously worked at the Isle of Eriska Hotel in Scotland as sous chef alongside Paul Leonard.

Tickets for DEVour on the 10th November are still available at £105 per person (plus £90 per person for the accompanying wine flight). Accommodation packages are also available from £499 per room including overnight accommodation with use of the spa facilities, full Yorkshire breakfast and two tickets to the Paul Leonard & Friends dinner.
