An Evening of Luxury and Krug Champagne at The Atlantic Hotel

The dinner, entitled “Crafting Happiness since 1843” is being hosted by Romain Cans of the House of Krug in Reims. He will take guests through the history of one of the world’s most iconic brands before they enjoy a sumptuous meal and glasses of the very Champagne they have been learning about.

The evening is a huge coup for the St Brelade hotel, which is the only member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World in Jersey. Patrick Burke, Owner and Managing Director of The Atlantic said: “We are delighted to be able to open our doors to the House of Krug and offer this wonderful opportunity for islanders to indulge in an evening of Michelin-starred food matched by Champagnes of undisputed quality and distinction. Some of these Champagnes will have taken over 20 years to craft and involve the art of blending at its highest level. It promises to be an evening not to be missed.”

Executive Head Chef Mark Jordan and Head Sommelier Sergio dos Santos have created a mouth-watering menu for the evening, with each course being perfectly paired with a different Krug Champagne. Highlights include a glass of Krug 1998 Vintage alongside butter-poached lobster with coconut, chilli and coriander, and a glass of Krug ‘Grande Cuvée’ accompanied by exotic espuma, lychee, marinated pineapple and mango.

Romain Cans, of the House of Krug, said: “We couldn’t ask for a more perfect venue than The Atlantic Hotel for this luxurious evening to celebrate Krug Champagne. I look forward to sharing my passion for this exclusive brand and its unwavering values with guests on the night.”

The event will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 12th April and tickets costs £245 per person. These are available from Hayley Brockwell on 01534 744101 or by emailing hayley@theatlantichotel.com
