The Atlantic Hotel’s Patrick Burke selected to judge Cateys Independent Hotel of the Year Award 2015
Owner of The Atlantic Hotel, Patrick Burke, has been honoured with the opportunity to judge at The Caterer’s annual Catey Awards, which will take place on Tuesday 7 July 2015 at Grosvenor House in London. Patrick will be judging the Independent Hotel of the Year 2015 category, the accolade awarded to The Atlantic Hotel in 2014.
Widely regarded as the hospitality industry’s answer to the Oscars, the Cateys recognise the industry’s “highest flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands” and are attended by the country’s leading hoteliers and restauranteurs.
The judges, selected for their expertise and industry knowledge, will determine a shortlist for the Catey Awards after a rigorous initial selection process. Finalists must be able to demonstrate sound financial results, innovative marketing campaigns, exceptional standards of service and a clear strategy for future investment and growth.
On receiving the invitation, Mr Burke commented “It is a great honour and privilege to be asked to judge at such a prestigious event. When The Atlantic Hotel won last year, it was the first time in the history of the Cateys that a Jersey hotel had won the award, and I am extremely proud to be the first Jersey hotelier to be invited to join the judging panel and am very much looking forward to the experience.”
The winners of the 2015 Catey Awards will be announced at the ceremony on Tuesday 7 July 2015 at Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel, London.
